Vuma Reach Phoenix Thread

Is anyone giving Telkom Easy Connect Fibre a try now that Openserve Fibre is available? R299pm for 20mbps is much cheaper than Vuma.

@Afrigirl Will Afrihost look at something offering similar?

We have Openserve Web Connect.

We tried the Openserve prepaid option but it was quite a difficult thing to manage manually so for now we are not offering it.

@Fox1 maybe check their TCs as they seem to refer to throttling during peak evening periods which is never a good thing imo.

Vuma Aex team have made changes to the radius attributes for Afrihost Vuma Reach clients to allocate only Afrihost DNS. Previously Vumatel had added 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 to sessions which caused traffic to popular streaming sites served by Akamai like Disney+, DSTV, AppleTV, Epic Games store, Valve, EA Games amongst others to bypass our local caches.

The changes will steer traffic to a cache we host close to you to improve streaming and download speeds. We opted not to disconnect clients so the next time you reboot your ONT these changes will be applied.

Has anyone had any trouble linking a new card to Payfast to continue their Vuma Reach payments? My old CC expired, so I added a new one but the Payfast dashboard doesn't let me link it to to the Vuma Reach subscription.

@Afrigirl and @AfriNatic Do you happen to know any workarounds for this?

The button to edit the card is no longer there so I can't edit any subscriptions. Mine nust says "upstream error" on the card when I navigate to Card Agreements, and no subscriptions are available under subscriptions.
