Vuma Reach Phoenix Thread

Tried it with the cable to the laptop, much better, was around 78mbs .
That's par for course! If you want to be anal... disable wifi completely and test again with ethernet cable to laptop.

This is my 40mb VumaReach line with a few idle devices on wifi on a good day... we've been having issues of late so I'll discount those...

Which router are you using? How far away are you from your router? Are there any walls between you and your router?

Of these things are factors when it comes to high speed internet.

If you feel like your internet is too slow then you need a router or get a mesh system

Are they finally in Phoenix? Lol they are a hopeless company
A few months back, I'd completely agree with you regarding the company.

But after enough of backlash, 123net is on the ball now. They do proper follow ups and stick to time frames. After service has greatly improved.

Vuma has just trenched in my area. What's the max speed they offering?

It depends which Vuma. Trenched/Aerial or Reach?

Trenched/Aerial = 1gbps
Reach = 40mbps (now 80)

Should be Aerial, Core and Reach, big difference being Reach is GPON based and majority of of Core/Aerial are EPON based as Reach is also trenched

"Trenched" is Active Ethernet
"Aerial" (is just a name, doesn't indicate cable position, can be trenched) is GPON
Reach (also underground) also GPON

What are you showing? A 100mb line vs a 80mb line?
Ping. Since that was the topic on last few posts..

I'm actually on 55mb plan but they have a different offering. 55mb international, 55mb peered and 55mb local.. Like a double offering on 1 plan..

Is the 40mb from Vuma still at R399?
