My GF is in Chatsworth on Afrihost Fibre... She also mentioned "it gets slow in the afternoons" but I don't think she ever ran a speed test at the time.

Around what time do you notice the issue? I can get her to check as well to confirm.

So for me its literally everyday between 6 to about 10pm. Sometimes its back to normal by 9 but mostly 10pm. The weird also is that its the download speeds thats affected. Upload is full speed or close to full speed.

Sounds a lot like congestion to me, maybe the backhaul link for your area isnt up to task.

I suggest cancelling with Home Connect and moving to Afrihost. @AfriNatic can assist with the move. Then once youre on Afrihost see if the speeds improve, if they dont have our lord and saviour AfriNatic investigate and possibly log with vuma

As the guys are saying dump them and go Afrihost.

Also you messaging in wrong thread, maybe start a Chatsworth thread for you guys.

I also do believe that but i still say that's its just too coincidental that literally the day after the speed increase it started happening. I've had the 20mbps line for about 9 months now and and it worked 110%.

Waiting for your feedback on this as I'm also experiencing slow speeds from 6pm to 10pm.@Afrinatic is currently working on resolving the issue but it has been more than a month now that I got this issue.

I can also barely reach 10mb in the mornings and when i get home from work. during the day it gets to 40mb. upload speeds are fine though

Went through old speed tests and this was my rain connection at the beginning of the year. How times have changed
