Vumatel/Crystal Web struggles round 2

FLIP! just saw this now.

My brother hooked the router up to the cpe and for some reason only my laptop gets fiber speed *if im connected to it directly via rj45* and my other 2 desktops on the same router get still use DSL?

The router is connected to the CPE via port 4 *WAN* port.

Its working, but only on my laptop, which is funny because i used another laptop the first time round when i was dealing with Shaun.

Some success is better than none :)
 
Scratch that.

Now my laptop is defaulting back to DSL and im getting no internet traffic from WAN port.

Il sort it tomorrow, im wrecked

You cannot have both the DSL and the fibre connection on that one router - it will not work. Are you in touch with the support guys to help?
 
Sigh taladas please send the techies to me?! I just got told they have emailed somebody and I must wait until tomorrow to be contacted. Did you just call tech support to get that kind of response? Having a techie at least come and test the line at the wall would be wonderful. My CPE has never worked so I suspect the installers botched something :(
 
DJ im getting the support team to make sure my router assigned on your side then im switching my router to wireless router mode then il pull the dsl line.

At the mo the DSL is the only thing keeping me here
 
Rivin if the tech teams pulls through tomorrow i will definitely ask them to go to you buddy

OK great. Drop me a PM if you're having any major struggles and I am happy to assist as well, but the team are well versed in sorting this out now and should have you up shortly.

Happy that Vuma's turnaround was so quick...

Can you get to the Vuma portal when you connect to the Vuma CPE directly? If not then yes you're going to need to wait for them to finalise your install. Hope you come right there.

If you have no luck, drop me a PM with your address and full name and I'll see if it's possible for me to pull any strings for you as a once-off...
 
CPE doesn't assign an IP to my router, so definitely no portal, but I'm not surprised because there is no fx light and the power light flashes.

My install is 'on hold' according to the sms I got yesterday. Thanks for the offer, I'll give them until tomorrow midday to get in touch before escalating somehow.
 
No problem - yes, you're definitely mid-way through the process. Nearly there...:)
 
I can see a bridge connection and a mac addy so my router is definitely seeing the CPE.
Just gonna let your support staff do their thing and il check in tomorrow.

Way too tired to be staring at screens.
 
Woke up this morning and back to the ol "Unidentified Network limited" business again.
Off to work, if the Vuma guys come in today i will update further.

No longer seeing any config issues here and the link is up. Only thing is Vuma reprovisioned this morning. Just need you to give the router (not CPE) a reboot and it should connect up...
 
Literally walked in the house 5min ago, my phone hopped on the wifi and lo and behold... TRAFFIC!!

Everything seems to be up and running, all my wired and wireless devices are working and getting a sexy 20/20 up and down
via speedtest.

Vuma and CW i saulte you!!

DJ, im setting cash aside for you so i can buy you that whiskey.

If anyone reading this doesnt get on CW, what the hell are you doing with you life.

If you will excuse me, im off to stream some netflix
