Vumatel fibre

You might be happy to know that Vumatel will start digging in a couple weeks time, I confirmed with them this morning but home connections should follow around end July/early August, Robindale is a big suburb :-(

Depends on provider and voip device but generally good.

A small update for Robin Hills residents...just got of the phone with Vumatel PM responsible for our neighbourhood...

There is a small change for the go-live date and they are planning/aiming for end July

Quality is perfect, and price is great.
Only hitch is you can't use it for a fax machine, if you need that.

I see they put letters in most of the post boxes on Tuesday. According to the letter - it says the entire Robindale (both sides of Hans Strydom) will be done. Start date: 20 June. Estimated time to complete = 2 weeks (which I cannot believe). Anyway - this is great news. I see they have almost finished northern end (lower side) of Winston road going down to RobinHills. I cannot wait to ditch my 2mbs ADSL line.

Yes, some people still use these things. My wife ran a small business from home, it was essential equipment.
