Are there any Vumatel representatives on the forum? I am currently waiting for installation in Killarney (which should have been finalised awhile ago) and would like to discuss with a rep. I have tried discussing with the call centre, but with no luck.

With the wallbox notification, you should have received a representatives business card. You can call that person directly. Otherwise try their facebook page or the twitter profile mentioned above

When contacting the installation manager, ensure you have the dates and times of all correspondence you have had with vumatel. I am afraid you will have to put tons of pressure on them to ensure the installation is timeously completed (They work hard, but since they are dealing with approx 60 people over the age of 50 per 100m instead of one person per 100m in Parkhurst their progress is dramatically slowed down). I would recommend asking them to start at 8h30 (Most buildings have become fed up with the mess they make and require them to leave at 4pm) and ask them if they have their own splicer (This could make your installation 8 hours shorter, since they will have to splice the fibre in three places at most). Also enquire about how many other installs are happening on the day incase they need more drill bits and/or tools to complete the CPE installation otherwise they will have to get extra tools from Parkhurst (I had to purchase an extra drill bit so they could complete one installation in 6 hours and not longer).

You could also enquire about the status of the reticulation in your building and or floor. This speeds things up dramatically as they only have to pull the fibre into your apartment. I would recommend that you ask which fibre stand they are pulling in as they might pull the wrong one in or disconnect someone else in the building.

The installs are not planned well, however, once the install is completed you will have a first class service.
