Vuyani Jarana is Chief Operating Officer and executive director of Vodacom SA, Member of the Vodacom Group Executive Committee and Non-executive director of Vodacom Lesotho.
Vuyani has held a number of positions since joining Vodacom in 1995, including the position of a Regional Managing Executive for the Eastern Region, a post he held until he was appointed to the Board of Vodacom SA as the Executive Director Regional Operations in November 2007. He has been a member of the Vodafone Global Leadership Programme, a programme aimed at identifying and developing high-potential individuals for senior executive positions. In November 2010 he was appointed to the Vodacom Group Executive Committee.
Vuyani is also a Board Member : Non executive, Legal Aid SA, Johannsburg (2006 - present) and was the Chairman, Nelson Mandela National Museum Council (2000 - 2006)
Vuyani holds a National Diploma in Telecommunications (Olifantsfontein), B.Com (Unitral), MBA (Stellenbosch)
