VW EOS

Niether, but still like the car, perhaps should consider visit to Pyscho analyst. Other than fact its seen as womans car is there any bad about it mechanical, fault design etc?

Questionable reliability of the folding hard top. There's a lot of other nice cars out there for R275k.

Various reviews seem to indicate folding top is extremely complicated in design, but like fact that it has sunroof as well. Car has 100000km or 5 yr maint plan so faults shouldn't be problem. Unless of course you are stuck in a rain storm and can't raise roof:)

Great car but if you want to not look like a copy cat perhaps go with an Astra convertable. Or even better, get the real thing - SLK.

Lol ignore the haters, its a good car, its rare and for that price its very good, is it the 2.0T model? If it is Id take it!:)
Whats the colour scheme? interior and exterior?

No haters here, just people who judge cars on their actual MERITS rather than the badge on the bonnet.

If I had judged on the badge then I would really not recommend VW. Very Wunreliable, Very Bworing, Very Cwommon.... I can go on :p

Seriously though, if you are looking for a hard top convertible rather get a higher millage SLK in the same price range, even if it is a 1.8L. These are not sports or performance cars after all, their main thing is drawing attention and looking good. The EOS does not look good...

It is very hard to beat the looks and originality you get with the SLK or even MX5.

If you're a female or a hair dresser, then go for it.

Personally, I'd take a new Mazda MX5 for the same price.

Lol!!!:D Bit confused are we?

Its better looking than the MX5 subjective you might say, but really it is much nicer.
Its got a GTi engine, a folding hard top, an interior matched by none in its field.
German quality inside and out.

Cant see what the problem is...
Check it out!:)

German quality inside and out.

That is a common misconception with VW. It is German alright, but quality?
No, Germans are structured and organized people and as much as I love Mercedes there is no getting away from the alphabetical quality ranks of German cars :

B - BMW
M - Mercedes
O - Opel
P - Porsche
V - VW (and Audi cause it is 4x a VW without saying it is a VW - look at the badge)

Shame sorry you feel that way, but they are known to have higher quality standards than other manufacturers around the world.

Opel is not German, they havent been for a long time, they have ruined their name and should not be allowed back.

Opel is not German

Adam Opel GmbH (commonly known as Opel) is a German automaker, part of General Motors. The company was founded on 21 January 1863, and began making automobiles in 1899. Opel is part of GM Europe, and is GM's largest European brand, and with Vauxhall Motors in the UK, forms GM's core European business.

The company headquarters are located in Rüsselsheim....

...Rüsselsheim is the largest town in the Groß-Gerau district in the Rhein-Main region of Germany.

Lol its not German, if thats the case VW is South African coz they made in Uitenhage.

Wrong..... this is SA you're talking about. Everyone wants to make money somewhere.

VW sucks donkey balls, if you ever buy one or thinking of buying one.... you deserve the crap that stupid arse excused of a vehicle gives you ;)

I'm pretty sure that they will not have their headquarters in a country that is still obsessed with a model they made 35 years ago.

No, VW and Opel are very much German. If you follow motoring news you would have picked up that the German government has talked about lending Opel some help as GM owes Opel about 1m Euro. And we all know where GM is heading...
