VAG installs various different BCM's (Body Control Modules) into their range of vehicles in order to enable different levels of accessories, so you have to make sure that any additional items you wish to install that were NOT factory-fitted options, are in fact compatible with your vehicle's current BCM - or else you would have to obtain & install a different BCM and have access to the VAG-COM VCDS diagnostic software (with a laptop to OBDII connector) in order for these accessories to be functional & compatible with your vehicle.
