Why is my vw polo not starting the battery is fine just bought a new starter it's not even cranking if I turn key please help thank you.

I think you need to get a mechanic in. This could be a few things - blown fuse, blown relay or solenoid, faulty immobiliser, a hydrolocked engine, dropped valves, faulty ignition switch, etc etc.

What was the car doing before you swapped out the battery and starter motor? How many KM on the motor? Is it a Polo or a Vivo and what's the year model?

I wasn't driving for a few weeks because it was overheating so I decided to leave it park and the battery got flat so after I decided to get the car fixed someone to check it why it was overheating the car did not started so the mechanic told me to get antifreeze so I did get it but the battery was flat at the time of trying to fix it thereafter I got the battery charge still the car wasn't starting only make a clicking noise so the mechanic told me that there maybe be something wrong with starter so I bought a new starter still the car couldn't start I tried to jump start it still did not wanted to start it a polo 1.4 2010 model just over 140 000km on the clock and I did a service on it last i December but also went to the Northern Cape Port Nollop it's about 1400km from Pretoria to visit and back this year April ...

Maybe get a different mechanic because guess work in car diagnosing can be expensive very quickly.
So the engine doesn't turn at all even with a new starter and fully charged battery?

Overheated? Head is warped. Water in cylinders. Hydolock. Remove spark plugs. Peer down spark plug hole see if water is in cylinders.
Spin motor. Remove pip from spark plug holes first.
If no joy buy a box of matches.
