Vw Velociti frontloader stuck on safe mode

So after my Velo went in for a service a while back, the frontloader reset and I had to enter the PIN again. Somehow I managed to enter the wrong PIN twice and now the whole thing is locked :o

According to the manual, this is supposed to reset after an hour and let you put in a PIN again. Well, it has been more than a month and all the frontloader does is flash SAFE at me when I turn it on.

No combination of pressing buttons will change this. I just disconnected and reconnected the battery and that did not help either.

Any ideas how I might reset the thing to let me put in a PIN again?
 
My manual (granted, it's for a polo) says your dealer should be able to help.

Gdiza is right; they do respond to e-mails although it took them a week to respond to my query

I would think that it's a given that I aka gdiza am generally ALWAYS right ;)


Just type a nice e-mail giving as much information as you can, send it to the right people (if there are 20 listed, send to all 20)

For the record, for anyone else facing the same issue, leave the radio on and the key in the ignition for two hours or so, and it will unlock...

You might want to have the car in a secure location when you do this, though :p But at least it works :)
 
the pin is on the radio manual somewhere. i had the same problem.

this also works:)
 
Leave the radio on for more than 9hrs while it displays SAFE.And then enter the correct pin...It will work!!!
