Last night me and my friends we had a debate about which brand is strong between VW and Honda. Which one is strong most of them said VW only two said Honda.

Anywhere my next question I need advice few months ago I bought a second hand car from a private seller. The car still brand new still under 49000km on the clock the car drive like a dream. One of my buddy said the car look like it has been in accident but the engine looks alright it didn't affect it. So this morning I took the car to a mechanic to re spray the bumper for me as I have few scratches I'm a new driver that is why I have scratches in my bumper.

So I asked the guy if he can check for me if the car has been in accident he open the bonet. He said the car has been in accident but the accident did not affect the engine it still look fresh. He showed me the bumper was re sprayed and the is panel beater work done in the front. I did ask the seller if the car is been in accident he said no now I'm worried maybe the car will give me problems in the future. I'm thinking of selling it for around R60 000 and buy something else that will come with high mileage. This car it's still new got full service history and spare key&tyre I really like the car but the accident part worries me for now no problem with the car.

I'm stressing myself about small things almost all the cars have been in minor accidents

Don't worry about the accident. If it's been repaired properly, it shouldn't be a problem.

Take it to the AA for a checkup.
If ok drive the car for as long as possible because when selling it you'll lose a lot because of the accident damage/repairs.
In most cases it's not like the old days where there was body putty everywhere that'll crack or break down as parts are mostly replaced so it's not as big a deal (depending on your repair)
Chassis etc are the main problem.

Tomorrow I will take it to bosch for a diagnose it's R600.00 in a case like this do I inform my insurance they do know the car is a second hand. Do I tell them that the car has been in accident. So far the car hasn't given me any problem the only thing I replaced is the brakepads.

NB: I didn't write this for english lessons if it's to troll for you take a hike nobody forced you to read. I just need advice regarding my car

If the car is roadworthy and repaired properly there shouldn't be any need to inform the insurance.

Thank you I'll hear what they will say at bosch tomorrow the car did pass the roadworthy test. Most people at work think my car is brand new plus it got low kilometers. Hope all will go well tomorrow at bosch the guy who sold me car adviced me to insurance the car I wonder why

Okay lets close this topic honestly I just needed advice about the car not how I was suppose to write this. Anywhere those who were kind enough to overlook how I wrote this post and offerd me their advice thank you. Hope all goes well tomorrow

Don't take Bosch/AA reports as gospel. They could be duds themselves doing the tests and you might get a clean report or perhaps not.

If the car is mechanically sound, why anticipate problems ?

It would have been nice to know age and model of the vehicle as well.

And to answer your thread title, Honda is a more reliable vehicle then VW, but VW builds better quality cars (interior more specifically)
