VW's 2.0T Engine just got better!!!

That is to be expected for mainstream engines, especially if you think back to F1 in the 80's, where Renault/TAG-Porsche/BMW produced 700-1000HP turbocharged 1500cc engines.

Well done though. I still admire the Mitsubishi Evo VIII FQ-400 with 407HP in 1997cc & a 3 year warranty, albeit with 7500KM service intervals!
 
That is just beautiful! What is the most the Audi/VW 2.0TFSi engine can output in kw? I once heard 285kw?? Is this even possible? Obviously not with the K03/4 turbos.....

Audi pushing the envelope some what with this rendition... Hope there aren't any reliability issues with this motor, 224kw is stonking yes!!! Audi does with a 2litre what bmw does with their straight 6 3 litre and that is extract huge power from limited capacity engines...

Yip but it 279/295Kw but thats in a concept R GTi, its not in production .......... yet:)

Under the bonnet of this hot concept is Volkswagen's 2.0-liter FSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

According to VW they have tuned this engine to thrust out 279kW if 93-octane petrol is used. However, with 100-octane racing fuel power output is 295kW.
