Hi all,
As many of you should know by now, I am a member of the VWS and we are in the process of organizing the 2009 Open Day.
What that means is on the day, which we've decided will be the 22nd November 2009 (Sunday!) you will be able to come and see us in action, you will see helicopters water bombing a 'fire' and you will get to see them up close and personal, your kids will be able to ride on fire trucks and use hoses and tools that we use, you can come and abseil too... hell, so many things to do!
I personally would love to have as many MyBroadband members come on the day.
I know the kids (younger kids) will totally love the day, parents etc will enjoy it too, but from last years open day, they will love seeing how much their kids enjoy it.
Last year was awesome, and it was a GREAT success, this year we going bigger because it's our 10th year in existance as a unit.
The day will probably start early, say, 8:30ish, I say PROBABLY because we are still in the process of organizing it, but having said that, please mark you Sundays and if you the type to plan etc, book the 22nd November for me please.
Those who live outside of Cape Town but who can get to the open day, I would really hope you decide to come through.
I'll keep this thread updated with information.
