Hi,

Could not connect with WA and am on my plan B account.

Spoke to support who ran some tests and have confirmed that they do have problems.

Lets hope for a quick solution

why are you still giving these clowns your money? the level of service they have been providing to their customers is shockingly poor, i reckon the best solution to your current problem is to get a proper isp.

They've had an alert up on their alerts page since March 4th warning of planned maintenance in the early hours of this morning, which has since been completed. That's probably your explanation right there.

I see nothing "shockingly poor" about that - that was plenty of advance warning.

Back up and running.

Whilst I might have some issues, there is no perfect ISP and I am happy with the package I have with them as it is one of the MyBB specials.

Heh, I must be with different ISP that is also named WebAfrica then. I have been receiving anything but shockingly poor service. That's not too say that I have not had the odd issue now and then, but no more than what I'd expect from any other ISP.

Heya Fulton,

At what time did you try and connect?
I can confirm that there is nothing wrong with our network this morning, however there was planned maintenance from 02:00 - 05:00 this morning.

Can you please try and connect again now to see if there are still issues with the account?

Hi Jeff

It was about 5:25. I could connect but speed was so slow; internet radio could not stream and pages could not load. I did speak to support and they confirmed there was a problem. At 7.00 I reconnected and all was back to normal, so there certainly was an issue, but appears to have been resolved. Maybe the maintenance took a bit longer?

You are correct, unfortunately the planned window did roll-over slightly.
Was explained on our Status Page and Forum Noticeboard threads :)

We are currently running an automated disconnect process
which should process any ADSL accounts that have not been
disconnected yet.

We hope to have the remaining disconnects completed
as soon as possible.

Further updates will follow.
Fully resolved at 09:45.

Maybe it is my fault, but I do not check those. I did speak to support and they did not inform me of this. Maybe when we are all going to be affected WA should send us an email a day in advance to let us know - or would this be too much info?

As a better alternative to Email alerts, you can maybe try an RSS feed that updates every 10 minutes or so? This will show the updates are they are posted and made live on the status page.
The RSS feed can be setup using this URL :)

I think WA's service is great, it's their prices which are insane.

Had an authentication failed error when I got up this morning. Had to reboot router.
