WA extra cap?

So my WA account wasn't capped when I expected it to be...which is weird since its usually <150mb accurate.

Further investigation shows I've got 3GB Prepaid cap listed on top of my MyBB special...which appeared out of nowhere.:cool:

I wasn't billed for it & autorecharge is disabled so no idea whats going on.

So: Did anyone else get free gigs? Do you guys think they will carry over?

Wow this is rather strange, yet interesting to know.

There have been no reported issues with bandwidth not reflecting correctly on our network.

It could be prepaid bandwidth that you previously added to your account as it does roll over if not used.

I would like to investigate your account to establish if there are any irregularities.

Would you please PM me your details so that I can have this attended to.

If everything is in order, you can keep the extra 3GB's :D

It disappeared at months end....pity 2.4/3 gigs were unused since I was betting on it carrying. :(

I'm innocent...I swear.:o But yeah sure investigate all you like I'll pm you the code.
 
Same thing happened here, I already opened a support ticket through the control panel (got a response, they are looking into it), should I send you my details as well or needn't I bother?
 
I know WA gave me Prepaid cap in the past when things did not go off Freezone as intended, maybe it's something similar. Mine has been carrying for months now because it rolls over and is used last [only after i used my normal cap] .
 
Got PM back. They can't seem anything on the a/c, but still investigating.

I did't lodge any complaints RE freezone, though I did point out a bug w/ it a couple of months ago.

Just a quick update on this matter.

Our developers have assured me that they are aware of the extra bandwidth added to some accounts and that there is good reason for it.

This bandwidth is auto allocated, mainly to high freezone users, on the odd occasion where the incorrect freezone usage wasn't updated accordingly.

This would then start to utilize your normal bandwidth and not allocate it to your freezone usage.

So all in all it's bandwidth that belongs to you. :D

Sorry about the thread hijack, but can you maybe give an update on the freezoning of the steam servers? Is WA still trying to freezone them all or have you given up? :p
 
allways nice to get extra gbs i suppose..... or you could just be on mweb uncapped and easily pull 20+gbs a night :D

I think you stole some of my missing cap :p . I downloaded 4GB on the 31st (though I had 1.9GB remaining on my cap) and I found that all 4GB was 'transferred' to the 1st.

Cool that's great. One issue though, I've not been aware that I even have the extra cap coming to me, it only appears once my account is capped, so is there some way to see how much I have that I haven't noticed?

Thats why its a good idea to reset the router @11:50 to make sure the session doesn't get added to the next month. The systems are good but not bullet proof so its best to take steps to counter it pre-emptively. ;)

Just use steamwatch. Works perfectly fine & I don't think I've ever had something not getting freezoned while using it.

Atm there seems to be a problem with traffic getting Free Zoned, so be careful.
 
yes I know , I have downloaded like 6 gigs from the freezone servers and ... mmm its all been deducted from my main account. how sad is that... I hope they can rectify it soon as the month has only started.
