Okay, let me get this straight...

If I get a Web Africa local prepaid only account for R19.

I can play on their servers and take advantage of this Freezone/Wage deal?

Yes. I bought a R70 1GB international prepaid. So you can log in in games like battlefield 2 and Americas army ect ect. But yes. Everything on wage.co.za is a free zone including their ftp and game servers

I think it can only work on the regular ADSL (international). Also it may take part of your cap. They have acknowledged a problem with pre-paid on wage not being 100% free.

Yes indeed. There is some problems with the code on prepaid accounts. When I emailed support they topped me up with another 1Gb for mahalah cause of the freezone problem.

Ja they will credit people with any damage done to thier caps due to the current problem, they are fixing it though.

All their accounts work on freezone (but not the IS ones), even the local ones, but you will then need route sentry or whatever to authenticate for the likes of BF2 or Steam games.

I will advise you to rather purchase 1GB international cap instead of local. Some games like americas army must authorize your account before you can join a server

If he gets local and another 1gb from Afrihost and uses Route Sentry he will save more money. ;)

No local SAIX accounts as well

It would be easier that way than doing what I said (Route Sentry with Afrihost or whatever other ISP), probably would be nice to give WA some extra cash seeing as they are giving so much for nothing.

Ja it would also nice to give some extra cash to telkom for setting up the infrastructure of internet in SA, and Neotel for bringing in a new way of distributing internet oh and iBurst because they tried and failed :sarcasm:

Ok, so it's a good idea to spend R70 a month, use it for gaming for games that need "INT" access?!

Sorry must have been more specific. The game only uses a small amout INT access to authorize your account and retrieve server lists(We're talking about KB's here not even MB's). After that you join the wage server and play on their freezone for free

Yes, I know that, but it would obviously be the 'best' account to take because if I took the R19 (1GB) local, that wouldn't help because if I was playing say, BF2, I need INT access.

I did that initially, routesentry for local freezone account with afrihost account but after checking usage I would be averaging 20mb a night international which was nothing so just canceled the local and got a WA international prepaid for freezone sessions, 1GB lasts for quite some time.

Routesentry on Windows 7 is a pain, well worth it.
