I get a Quadrant score of 2069 with my Desire HD, which outperforms pretty much everything else.

How do you like them apples? :p
 
Of course the iPhone has smoother transitions, it has a fully GPU accelerated UI while Android still does animations in software. The iPhone 4 has a very good GPU, what's more it actually uses it. Infinity Blade and Real Racing 2!!

The Sense UI on the HTC Desire HD has got full hardware acceleration & live wallpapers.

One of the reasons I'm hesistant about moving to vanilla Gingerbread. The scrolling on the Desire HD is exceptionally smooth so I'm not sure what these posts are about.
 
Why not get an Android? Vastly superior to an iPhone (even a jailbroken one).
 
OMG... Just read through this thread, an Apple Mac & iPhone thread... #48 posts on 4 pages... 18 of those posts are from people who ACTUALLY have an iPhone! For all your: "Fanboys are the worst, iPhones suck, blah, blah, blah", any of you fandroids troll much?

Helping tiandup not to make the same mistake I made two years ago + helping other people to see what it really means to get locked into the Apple ecosystem.

It's because iOS does not properly utilize the phone's hardware. :p

No, seriously, I get two days out of my battery, but how difficult is it to plug in your charger when you go to bed? Even if my battery is still half full, I still plug it in. It became habit two years ago with my iPhone 3G.

But on the other hand Darren... I'm now on my third iPhone, which I'll replace with my fourth iPhone when my contract is up for renewal... Also, I'm peachy-keen with my phone as well as my Mac in that Apple ecosystem you don't seem to like... I guess it's different strokes for different folks.
 
Just get yourself the iPhone 4. You won't regret it.

I personally have a Samsung Galaxy S and it is awesome. All of the top range android phones are and most are probably on par or better than the iPhone. What they are not better at is all the accessories that iPhone devices gets. And also ask yourself, do you really need the extra screen size, or the other features a other phone might have. The fact of the matter is, your phone won't be the best in a months time anyway, so why get the best. Get what suits you the best, and I personally think the accesories of the iPhone out ranks the other benefits the android devices have. I can't get all of the stuff I want, because not everything is sold in SA (and even though I can buy it online, I prefer buying face to face) but the iPhone doesn't have that problem.

If you are fine with the iOS ecosystem great for you. Same with Blackberry etc. These android are the best comments are really going to make the android community look like they are elitist like how people got annoyed by the iPhone people at the beginning. And in most cases it is the same people that bashed the iPhone people that does the same thing that was so annoying to them from the start.

Just compare all the phones you might be interested and then choose the one that most suits your needs or wants. As simple as that.
 
Okay so this was 15 min of my life wasted...

The question you need to ask myself is, do i have 1hr a day to surf the iPhone forum on MyBB and Google in order to vindicate my decision to buy an Android instead of an iPhone.......... or do you have 1hr a day to enjoy your new iPhone to its utmost....

If you are an uber Geek and actually spend time googling the diffent specs of a CPU, the pixel ratio of a screen or any of the other hardware differences between the 2 device then you need to buy yourself a life instead...

If anyone has the time or energy to do a troll of the Doid forum, please let me know how many of us "fanbois" troll the Droid forum to prove to everyone our phone is better than yours.... The answer is not many, we dont need to prove that our phone is better than yours... it just is...

I dont need to prove that the iPhone is better than yours... it just is for me and thats the bottom line... i dont need to justify it to you, it just is...

Anyway back to the reason for your thread... if the iPhone 5 is released in June we should get it at the end of the year (Mid to late Nov)... then if you are not on a waiting list or know someone you might wait until December before actually getting your hands on 1....

My opinion is to get the iPhone 4 now, if you loved your 3G or 3G`s then the 4 is simply a giant step forward for you... if you didnt like the 3G or 3Gs then why are you in this forum ???

I agree with you completely... i love my iPhone and wont even consider any other brand of phone... yes they are nice and they have their advantages but nothing is as easy to use and as reliable as my iPhone...
