Waiting time for self-install

I just got my landline installed today so i need to apply for my self-install adsl line. Just wondering if anyone has an idea how long telkom takes to do whatever they have to do at the exchange so i can go ahead with the self-install at home??

Let's just say I've been waiting since October 2005, so 7 months and counting...

i was waiting for 7 lines to be put in and it only took on avverage 3 months per line.

Telkom did mine the same day - October 2005 - but I am such a lazy a$$ that I still have not completed the self-install...

Same here. From the time I ordered my ADSL line up to where it was up and running was almost 3 weeks if not sooner. But with Telkom it's one huge gamble and no one can tell you how long it will take, sorry
