I use Teamviewer to remotely control a distant PC which is on a Telkom Mega 105WR router.
I want to be able to wake the PC remotely when it is off, using Wake-On-LAN but am a bit stuck.
I have configured the NIC in the PC to accept WOL and enabled it in the BIOS as well.
In the 105WR I select my IP using the dropdown box and enable WOL there as well.
Still doesn't work, however. How do I find out which ports are opening, or else how do I open a port, and finally, which port would be suitable for WOL ?
Thanks

You need a special app to send the magic packet. The port is configurable I think.

Or if you have a Mikrotik router, you can just write a simple script to switch your computer on automatically 10 minutes before you wake up in the morning. My wife loves this as time in the morning is a scarcity.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I have downloaded wolcmd but when I run it, it flashes very briefly on the screen before disappearing. How do I enter the required details ?
Tried the GUI but doesn't wake the remote PC. I specified Port 7 as recommended on the site however I'm not sure whether that port is open on the Mega 105WR and despite trawling through the router menu's, I don't see anywhere to enable or specify a port.
I am fairly sure the PC is correctly set up, the router is my problem (I think)
Thanks again for your help

Run it from command prompt (i.e start-run-cmd-ENTER) not windows shell. Its displaying something but immediately gets killed because it requires no input.
