Hi everyone I have been pondering on which of these to products I should get. The reason I want one is because I am at university and stay in res and so from time to time our TV is being used to watch something other than what I want to watch eg Soccer insted of rugby.

I have my PC in my room with a 20" LCD as well as an iPod touch. In all likelihood I would end up watching in my room. What I then need to know is whether these two options have any drawbacks in my situation. Like would a drifta give me the same resolution as a Walka 7 but with the added bonus of being a bit more portable?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

AFAIK they would both have about the same res.

You can try to stretch the image of the drifta over the 20" screen but the quality would be terrible. There is no full screen option by default, you have to use other methods or hacks to to get it at full screen...

I have the Walka 7 and the Drifta WiFi. My daughter co-opted the Drifta cos her mother doesn't have DSTV. When I did have it, the pic on my Mac (which has no full screen hack) was acceptable. The 7 pic is fine - I'd rather have that personally BUT the mobility is only an issue if you need to keep stuff in your pockets - this is where the Drifta wins hands down.

Hmm ok, looks like its just going to come down to where Ill use it most often. Thanks for your guys replys, they helped a lot.:)

If you connecting to your pc, do you have advantages of playing through your pc sound ? That might be an advantage.

I watched yesterday's game (SA vs England) on my PC, streaming live - does anyone know how to separate the English and Afrikaans commentary?
