i dont understand how men in amazing physical condition need 2 months to recover

I think they are right to ask SANZAR to order SARU to send the best possible team to Australia and NZ for the remainder for the Tri-Nations!!

Perhaps the Aussies should 'beat us' before moaning about us sending a weak or not full strength side.
What happens if these 'mid-weekers' run them close or even come away with a win?
Play the game first, then whine if you feel you need to just seems to make more sense.

I would like to see our team in full strength against Aus and NZ because, as someone mentioned earlier, we were upset about England sending their 3rd best team and now we're planning to do the same...

Problem is that we (aus, nz, sa) play so hard the guys get injured - then it's 6 weeks + sometimes.
 
Killadood, I hear you. Personally I think our guys are buggered now and to keep playing at this rate we are going to have injuries. The fear of these injuries is what is holding back the big guns not the rest period which follows.

We have had a long season thus far and to rest for 1 week then have 2 heavy, very physical games is going to seriously jeopardize some of our top guys and ruin their WC chances.

In saying that to take out 20 seems rash.

This was not due to player fatigue or the WC, this was due to player/club commitments.

True, it does, but I agree that our guys need a rest too regardless of what the whining Aussies say. They just scared they will be beat by a 2nd rate team and then they know they are forked for the WC :D
 
yea i hear that but i also dont think going to into the world on the back of severe beatings by aus and nz would be to good for us

i hear you guys and it does make sense but getting thrashed is not something i look forward to and im sure all ppl in nz and aus who bought tickets are going to be upset as well

i look forward to this comp every year and its the sole reason i started to love rugby, i think to go down like a bunch of scared girls is not good for us, it shows we are scared to get injured which may not happen

the all blacks could get injured so could aussies but they are still playing their full strength teams, bunch of girlie boys is what i think

look at spies he got injured in training, are we also going to stop training now?
 
dont you think you guys are blowing things out of proportion here?

its a very good chance to see what else our reserve team can do, maybe there might be a player that runs into form over the next 2 matches and White see's this.

This reserve team we sending will be playing there hearts out to get a WC spot or even a starting line-up...

give it go and see what happens,Its obvious white wants to rest key players.

We still have a world cup warm up match against the scotts dont we? plus preporation is key for the world cup.

There will plenty of time to ridicule White after the world cup.

9 - Ruan Pienaar

11 - JP Pietersen
12 - Wynand Olivier
13 - Waylon Murray
14 - Odwa Ndungane (not here but when they announce Tonderai Chavhanga injured I think he will be the replacement)
15 - Bevin Fortuin

I think this team could and hopefully will beat the Aussies
 
hahaha i think alot of the so called top players will have their tales between their legs if this side beats both aus and nz :)

AJ announces retirement - out of 3 Nationtions

AJ Venter announced his retirement from international rugby today so he won't be going overseas!!

Springbok and Saracens' Cobus Visagie was named in the Sky Dream Team at the Guinness Premiership awards last nights.

As part of the awards evenings, Sky Rugby Club pundits Stuart Barnes and Dewi Morris selected their team of best players over the course of the Premiership season and the Saracens player was named in the tight-head prop position.
