Big Wanatu and Uber trip fees difference

Aside from requiring Afrikaans drivers and employing them permanently rather than on contract, the recently launched Wanatu e-hailing service differs from Uber and Bolt in another key way — it won't charge users more than their trip estimate.

Among the many issues that South Africans have recently had with Uber is that the trip estimates they are shown at booking can be substantially lower than what they end up getting charged.

Spent some time in SA recently. Took a total of 25 Ubers. It's gone to the dogs. Basically, Uber black is the new normal Uber

Still using Uber, no plans to use anything else, especially not Wana-whatever lol.

Has anyone here used them in Pretoria? How long do you typically wait compared to Uber or Bolt?

I have used them, it is totally true that they are more expensive, but I felt much safer driving with them than I have ever felt in a uber. I haven't had a bad experience with uber though, I personally prefer Wanatu to driving with Uber or Bolt.
