[Wanted] Any old laptop

Item wanted (be very descriptive): A laptop
Is packaging essential?: No
Desired age and condition: Anything from the last 15ish years
Location: CT Northern Suburbs
Willing to accept a shipped item: Yes, if in or around CT I'd be able to arrange transport.
Price: Well, the only thing I have lying around is a MikroTik hAp2, so if you want it and like torture, its yours. Else I will have to go down on my knees and do what I do best.

It took a lot for me to post this, but I need a laptop, I had to sell mine due to losing my job and getting Teams interviews is getting all the more stressful because I have to rely on friends to lend me theirs.
 
Good luck. There might be someone with a MacBook that only has 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD that they’re not making use of.

Oh, ok. No I didn't know that because we last spoke 2 months ago. I actually had a phone for you but I gave it to the pitbull to destroy, looks like he enjoyed it.

I have this Acer laptop here but sht, pitty looks playful.
 
Have you stopped drinking? Donating a laptop, only to have it sold for beer would suck...
 
Was just browsing Carb and saw a deal on an old machine for as low as R650. Surely you have enough money for that?
 
Sorry man. Sorry don't have extra laptop and gave phone to gardener who broke it the following week.

A phone sometimes works better for teams as it has a mic and camera. Old laptops don't usually have good cameras or mics.

Are you using your TV browser for Mybroadband?


Edit: I might have an old LG G4 lying around. Will see if I can find it.

I had some beers over the weekend, but that was only because a friend of mine dropped by.

I'm at the library.

I have been sent a C++ programming assessment to complete and according to the company it takes on average 4 hours to complete. The crappy thing is that a session at the library is limited to 45 minutes per user per day, or 90 minutes if there's no queue to use the PC's. I only get one shot at it, so once I click "start" I have to finish it. Else I could have had a look at what they wanted me to do, work out the solution with pen and paper, and then use an online C++ compiler to test out my solution.

Thanks for the offer for the phone. I'll owe you a beer coffee :)

As hard as it is to believe, nope, I don't have R650.

I also checked out carb, especially the PIF threads. I'd have to put up something of equal or similar value, which I don't have because I've sold practically everything I own already.
