[Wanted] Any old laptop

I'm at the library.

I have been sent a C++ programming assessment to complete and according to the company it takes on average 4 hours to complete. The crappy thing is that a session at the library is limited to 45 minutes per user per day, or 90 minutes if there's no queue to use the PC's. I only get one shot at it, so once I click "start" I have to finish it. Else I could have had a look at what they wanted me to do, work out the solution with pen and paper, and then use an online C++ compiler to test out my solution.

Thanks for the offer for the phone. I'll owe you a beer coffee :)

I've went through every cupboard and drawer in the house. Haven't manage to find it. Hope it didn't get any feet. One more place to look are in some moving boxes I've been too scared to unpack.
 
Found it in one of these boxes. Goodness I still have a lot of junk.

And its off again. Battery is flat and showing 0. Will give it a charge and see if it still works.

The irony is that the LG4 camera is still better than the Redmi Note 9S I have. But the battery never lasted long enough to get through the day away from home. The phone also had various other common issues such as bootloop and getting very warm.

Interested to see if it is going to startup.

Just leave it on charge for a while, sometimes the batteries need to be kick started when they havent been used.

Lol, don't want money. Others on this forum has helped me as well during hard times and I'll be in the street if I have to pay them back. 2023 was not a good time.

Anyways, the display looks so beautiful :love: LG should never have given up on the G3 and build on top of that. The G4 was their downfall due to short battery time and motherboard issues.

I created this thread looking for an old laptop. You were the one who directed this thread toward a phone!

And I sent both you and Craig a PM a couple of months ago to tell you my phone was stolen while I was sleeping. Either you don't read your PM's or this forum is broken.

That idiot is pinning you offering me a phone now on me.

A laptop would still be first prize as I have access to wifi so just need to put my sim card in someone's phone to scan that WhatsApp QR code to run WA from the laptop.

Don't get me wrong, a phone is equally important, but for different reasons. You still get those recruitment agents who first wants to call you to tell you they want to send you and email
