Hi all,

If anyone could answer the following question, I would be highly appreciative.

Where, in the greater Cape Town area, could I purchase The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Collectors Edition tomorrow? i.e. Where could I go tomorrow to purchase it and have it in my hands physically tomorrow?

I'd prefer to buy it from a retailer/wholesaler or wtf.

Thanks

mook u can always check on take2.co.za if they have the game in stock and if they have it in stock u could order it pay for it and just go collect it at their shop.

Yeah, I'm gonna phone them tomorrow, I phoned them this morning and they said they expecting stock later this week. Unfortunately the Collectors Edition says 'supplier out of stock' on the site and when I phoned them I didn't specify the collectors edition so I don't know the true status.

C Edition is gonna be hard to get hold of :( I know a lot of USA suppliers are even out. A lot of friends were not even able to get it 3 days after Release. Was like 10 copies a store.
The Company i ordered it from only had 15, on Confirmation email i was told lucky as were 3 left (2 reserved)

I know BT Games are out, Take 2 may still have...There forums are good info. I think if you have no luck with CE Here, you may have to probably import from Official website

Take 2 (US Publisher) Seemed to only allow a certain limit of copies to stores.

If no luck , get normal edition. Depends how Die hard of a fan you are...but one thing i can confirm....There is nothing great about it :( I was dissapointed with my CE. The Coin is the only decent thing along with Box art...The other DVD has Pictures, The Game Trailer ...and the making of Oblivion (Not that long, bout 45 mins) The Pocket Guide is just history of the Empire. Stuff to read while on the loo.The manual is the same as normal ....and when i went through reading manual, there nothing important you even need ...tutorial and tips ingame pretty much cover it all (+ Load screen tips) + Ingame large foldout map. I dunno if this is part of CE only or not

On a swizzy side note...Do you see Bethedsa are wanting to charge you to download official plugins?! 1.99$ for Horse armor...The hell...

Edit : They did mess up my CE and i ended up with 2 copies of the Pocket guide, if you cant get CE, willing to post...Sealed, and still in plastic

Thanks Borgir, Take2 had like 3 in stock this morning, but argh, I missed out. However I'm very pleased to hear that the CE isn't all that special so wtf I'm just gonna go ahead and buy the normal edition tomorrow.

FTW!

Woot, you will love it ;) Hope you do as much as i do! Totally hooked! Put Lineage 2 on hold ;p

No worries mate, CE is deff not anything to miss!

Edit: Make sure you download some decent plugins before ya do!

Some i can suggest are LOD shaders and enchanced Resolutions...<--- These are a must have! Makes Graphics in distance 10 x better than defaults with no FR loss. Makes Distant graphics so much better.

Shorter grass mod to cut down grass to a more "real" height and helps with performance too!

Another is more deadly traps, sounds odd but very popular mod. A lot were dissapointed at dmg traps do in Oblivion(I wont spoil what traps you get) However this makes the ones that seem deadly....very deadly (1 shot) Great for realism and vs mobs. Does not affect the ones you wont think will be deadly.

All are Aval at www.tessource.net

Thanks Borgir.

Crap, I better get to bed, gotta get up early and get Oblivion!

FTW!

I cannot even get the normal edition here in Cape Town. :( It is sold out everywhere. One shop told me all their copies were gone in two hours.

you can order from BT Games and they will post it to you...

I got mine from Take2 at around 1pm today.

I bought mine from Incredible Corruption for R350 yesterday at Canal Walk....I was surprised they even had it!

Incredible in Tyger Valley did not have any yesterday. Same for CNA and four other shops I tried. Well, I am now waiting for it to arrive at my door.
