I have a good old Pentium M Laptop that I want to breath some extra life into by upgrading the RAM.

Specs are as follows:

PC2100 DDR266 200pin SDRAM SODIMM

Faster would also be acceptable.

Does anyone have some of these lying around, from leftovers from an upgrade or a dead laptop?

First prize for me is two 1gig modules, but would consider 512Mb if needed.

Only have a 256MB somewhere. I purchased my 1Gig modules from Sybaritic.

Heeeeey

Me tooo... also need about 1GB of the DDR333 stuff for older lappies. Anyone here know if a DDR400 would clock down to the required 333 / 266?? Damn, the new laptop ddr2 RAM is still cheap cheap!!!

Yes, they will work at the slower speed.

In "DDR400", the "400" is a rating, not a specification.

If the notebook is old enough, you can also use regular desktop DDR RAM. I had a notebook once that took regular DDR (a Pentium 4 Northwood).

Yeah thanks ponder, the new stuff is way expensive, and I was hoping someone wanted to offload a stick or two. It seems a shame to spend as much as the laptop is worth for a gig or two of memory.

So peoples, go scratch in your drawers please :D:D
