Wanted:USB 2.0 Switch for One-Button Swapping of USB Device/Hub Between Two Computer

I'm looking for one of these (or something that does the same thing).

Need to share a keyboard/mouse (not Monitor) between two computers (one computer has access at a time).

I've checked the usual local suspects and don't see it anywhere. It is available on Amazon (and shippable) but the with the current exchange rate, the shipping cost makes it too expensive.

I cannot help you with that, no idea where to get it locally. Maybe check ebay and aliexpress? Shipping can take up to 2 months though.

What do you want to achieve? If it is just sharing of a mouse and keyboard you could look at something like this:

Plug both computers (or pc and tablet) into it and your mouse cursor moves from one screen to the other. Your clipboard stays in sync, etc so you can copy something on pc 1, move the mouse over to pc 2 and paste it there.

It is quite nifty

Thanks all for reminding me of Synergy, back when I had a Linux netbook for downloads next to my desktop I found Synergy and to this day I still think it's magic.

That's really cool but exactly what Synergy does and you can use a network cable instead of paying for a fancy cable.

I tried many of those free apps, but none of them worked as well as the JUC100.

Unfortunately they're not - one is behind a Corporate Firewall, the other isn't (so Teamviewer is out too)

Hmm, I saw that - wonder if it works between a locked down Laptop on a corporate network and one that's not - might be worth giving it a try

Edit: Ordered it from Takealot (R139 - free delivery via app purchase).

Even if it doesn't work, the PC to Mac File transfer capability is worth it.
