Wanting to setup eyefinity - what are my options

The HDMI port uses the same electricals as one of the DVI ports(either one) AFAIK, so you need to use the displayport for the third screen...

P00 :( :p

Now just to find a dam converter.

What I would like to know is why you cant run three monitors with 2 Dvi's and one HDMI cable :(

Doesn't make sense to me either...

I do like that Samsung though! Very good price for a 24" as well, almost makes you wonder what's wrong with it...

I'm just worried that three 24"s might take up a LOT of space on a desk vs three 21"s/22"s.

Anyone else with any thoughts?

P.S Has anybody in SA got a running Eyefinity rig? I haven't seen any pictures yet...

Nothing wrong at all with samsungs, they are built well and are brilliantly priced.

Honestly I don't think there will be a huge difference between 3 24's vs 3 22's in terms of space.

I just read something interesting, apparently you dont need display port if you want to run 2 monitors, only if there is a 3rd.

Don't know how true this is, but cant wait to get home and try it out :D

Tiny, as I always say LG = Lousy Goods, I won't go near their stuff, had way to many bad experiences.

Never heard of AOC, but honestly I would go with a brand name. You get what you pay for.

This is true.

Do you know how to set it up with 2 monitors?

I have been trying for over an hour now and no luck, google is not helping either.

I have setup a group but when I open any game the game mirrors on each screen.

i got BFBC2 to run on 2 monitors with no trouble at all a few weeks ago, can't remember how I did it though. I only kept it on for a few seconds however - the problem with only 2 monitors is when you look straight ahead, you look in the gap between the monitors. not great when u are trying to shoot someone!!!

I figured it out, after you set up the group all you need to do is change the resolution in game. Played some MW2 and Torchlight and ya its really *** with only 2 monitors.

Its a cool party trick, your mates will "oooh ahhh" at MW2 spread across to screens, but in all reality it is beyond unplayable. You have to have 3 or nothing.
