Warning: Uber estimates are not final anymore

Because it used to not be an estimate. It used to be a final price.

I think you're wrong there but Ive only used Uber like 4 times over the years so cant really comment much more.

I have used Uber many, many times over the past couple of years and this is the first time I have seen the actual price differ from the estimate.

Its not the amount that matters but the fact that Uber is no longer a guaranteed price.

In one thread, a poster mentioned that he preferred Uber to Taxify because he knew upfront exactly how much it would cost. That is no longer the case.

That was me, and in that thread I learned that you can estimate the price with taxify. I will maybe try taxify next week sometime.

Also Taxify is not necessarily cheaper than uber, below is an a trip booked on both, a minute apart, same route.
