Android can use IPv6 over WiFi. IPv6 will unfortunately wait until the cellular carriers start using it.

There is currently a problem with the GSM chipset that is used in many Android and similar smart phones. The chipset is not capable of supporting IPv6 on the GSM/3G radio. There are already a couple of the Nokia smartphones that can do IPv6 on the GSM side and T-mobile in the US is busy with a huge public trial with users getting only IPv6 on their phones. I believe that we should see the other manufacturers with support soon.

On the WiFi radio of your smartphone you should have no problem. Recently I did some testing: iPhone, Android and Blackberry already support IPv6 when connecting via WiFi.
