Water Cooling Baby

Yesterday I aquired the 3D Galaxy Water cooling solution by gigabyte from Computermania cavandish and have installed and tested it...

my temps are (in my opinion terrible)

I found a review with my same CPU and his numbers at a greater overclock were all in the 30's whats wrong !!!

on a E6420 C2D

running my old settings ( 380 * 8 = 3,04 GHZ, 1.5v VCore )

*Fan on lowest

Idle = 51 C

Load = 60 C

*Fan on Highest

Idle = 50

Load = 60

My new overclock ( 380 * 8 = 3,04 GHZ, 1.25v VCore )

Idle = 32

Load = 41

Any thoughts / are these acceptable

Ps* I am gonna take some pics when my case arrives tomorrow

at 2 point anything vcore your cpu would be dead.

what are you using to measure temps ?

its amazing what a difference water cooling makes

my gpu used to idle at about 59/60 water cooling dropped it to 38
my e8400 @ 4ghz was like 42 dropped to 31

my new 45nm 9300 runs at 20 during the day and about 17 at night when it cools down

My 3D Mercury is running the following.
Lapped water block to cpu
Re seated block at least 12 to 15 time with different thermal pastes
Q6600 at 3.6 G overclock,Vcore 1.397 Volts,prime 95 at small fft`s for at least an hour to stabilise temps
Between 39 and 41 deg C with ambient temps of 28 to 30 Deg C...Slow fan speed.

Good results you have there..

thanx guys said case is comming today and a new mobo Asus P5B is not holding up... so P35 is gonna replace it... ( I love my rich uncles )

its gonna look rad when I am done...

oh ya BTW thats 1.x vcore typo

and QUADCOREROCKS I am mesuring with speedfan and in the BIOS

You might want to have a look at CoreTemp as well

those C2D's run very cool and you droped your temp by ±48%!! It's all good IMO as long as you dont get a leak

ya and the fan on this thing is damn noisy if u turn it right up...

they said if you dont like sound you will hate the pump and fan with galaxy
