Water hose touching engine part

what opel tools can i start offf with finding then?
i need the ones for front brake pads, and discs, please?
i watched a youtube video but the guy doesnt talk and it looks so easy but i bet it is a pain to do.
It seems i need a hex tool of some sort and that long bar with the rachet, i think i dont know
i just want to know what i need to gets o i can get it and not get ripped off by somebody selling me the wrong thing.
anybody from the central east part of joburg like Kensington Cyrildene Bedford Bez Valley Eastgate Bruma region that can point me to a decent place for tools, besides game or makro or mica of course.

Take a tape measure and measure the nuts.

Then go buy the appropriate tools in single or for a socket wrench.

Don't buy whole sets of single tools as they are often cheap and nasty...unless you can afford a whole Gedore set then you go nuts.

Rather buy single Gedore tools as you need them, easier on the pocket short term and they'll last forever.

****

I've found on many occasions the reason stuff stripped in the first place was because someone used the wrong or crappy tools to do the work previously.

yeh my nut or screw eventually stripped they said, they eventually got me a nice opel astra one which fits tighter and better... they also use a blob of this silver looking silicone.

anyways correct me if i am wrong, but it seems i have a torx type nut also for the sump which is the one i described about so not sure if this is an astra type or what.

anyways

So long as i can service my own car next time.

I did buy an entire service kit , i am just not sure how to fir the fuel filter it looks very awkward and the those clips looks like a pain.
also not sure if i need to keep those clips or if i can just use the whole set i get from the german looking filter i bought, forgot the name, its black in color, its not a Gud.

As for spark plugs and air filter and oil filter i am sure i can do that stuff.
I guess i just need a plastic tub or something like 10 liters for the oil to drain in to.

Yes the sump nut is torx, and its also aluminium, make sure you use the correct size torx that fit snugly otherwise it will strip, but it's cheap at goldwagen, I bought myself spares in case I have to use force on the one that is on right now. You also need an oil filter strappy thing tool.

The fuel filter is not as difficult as you think, it's a twist and align method to remove it, much the same method you use to remove light bulbs, the clips remains on the fuel lines.

True I admit to having done that, sometimes when it's not a planned repair you do at times find that you have to improvise and make it work with whatever you have.

For, sure. I think we’ve all been in those situations.

But I’ve learnt and before doing any new work I go through everything that is required and buy new tools as required.

Makes the actual job so much easier and faster as well.
