Corsair H50 was my first. I got bored with that and modded it.

Then setup a custom loop onto my GPU, that was sweet. Mistake I made was getting a DUAL bay res. half to the modded H50 and other half to the GPU loop.

I want to strip everything, and do it all over. Properly.

two blocks, one rad, one pump, single res. no clutter.

Im looking for a good pump/res combo. Any recommendations?

Why not get a CPU block/pump combo ;) Apogee Drive II is a great little piece of work

Do you want a bay res, or tube? Lots of tube reservoirs that can take a pump at the bottom and you can still pick between a D5 or 355. Would have to look around a bit to find a good bay res that can take a good pump

that thing looks like its got a really small pump? that gonna be enough to pump a whole loop with CPU and GPU?

I have always preferred a bay res to be honest, and always liked the idea of a built in pimp into a bay res. Maybe that pump wont be enough either hey?

Its got a MCP35X in there, which is more than most people would ever need. Trust me, that pump is great.

If you really want to place the pump in a bay res though, I do recall Monsoon makes a good one - linky. XSPC and EK are good options too. I think you'll want to avoid the ones that have any kind of waterfall effect though, lots of people say while its cool at first, the noise eventually bugs them.

Oh, if you do go for the bay res, get the new PWM version of the D5. So you have control of the cooling (the pump speed) and an extra layer of safety

How/Where do you get your parts, I cant see buying a GPU block locally as they like R2000?

Thanks Archer.

I definitely wanna stick with the Bay res hey. I have my eye on this one, but Im not certain if the pump is adequate? I assume by PWM you mean a varible control on the flow. Im not certain if this EK res+pump has varable control?

I have also read to stay away from the waterfall effect :)

I've got a the XSPC bay res with a MCP355 pump (Essentially this: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1..._Installed_DDCBAYTWO-1PUMP.html?tl=g30c97s168) and it's been running strong for the last 5 years. Cooling a i5 2550k running @ 3.9 Ghz and a Radeon 5850 through a 3x rad and a 2x rad.

Thanks Dakota

This looks really nice as well hey. XSPC stuff is really good. I got an XSPC dual bay res at the moment and Im quite happy with it. Im definitely leaning towards the EK stuff though. Had good service from them, and my GPU block is EK.

Could I ask when yoy go through with this all, to keep this up to date (like who you bought from etc)?

Its a dream I have had for long but pricing has always pushed me away. :D

If you dont have money, then dont follow this thread :p It IS quite pricey, but Im prepared to take the hit

3/4 comps will fit easily on it, the real issue is clearance with your RAM heatsinks. Anything with a low profile will be good, but medium height heatsinks will be a problem
Take a look here, you get to see it with the comps installed, and memory clearances

ok, this is great, helps me a lot. I dont want to spend the money and end up with one expensive paper-weight

My memory is low profile so I wont have an issue with this. good. appreciate the help (as always)
