watercooling - bleeding the air out

right so, last night I got my Corsair H50 mod up and running

it didnt take me that long to be honest. The hard part was getting the liquid into all parts and getting the damn thing to run!!!

What I did was, connect everything up, and simply filled the res. Water level just sat there... Didnt feed through.

So of course soon I will be doing the GPU part, and wondering what the best way to go about that.

help appreciated
 
You should keep your res at the highest point as that is where the air will escape.
You need to then pulse the pump to push water around whilst jiggling the radiator and CPU block to loosen all the air bubbles. It's pretty easy.

But I think the hardest for you will be finding a away of turning the h50 on and off easily

I hooked it up directly to a psi and have managed to et all the air out. From what I can tell anyway. I left it running overnight for leak testing.

Tonight I will slight everything in and mount. My concern now is completing the setup for the gpu... Dual res was a bad idea lol

When I redo my my WC setup i'll post some pics, just waiting for PPC import to arrive.
I've dismantled my WC setup 3 times now, I's just easier to build it in the case now. I've only had one leak but that was me being noob. I've also got a bay res so it's quite easy to bleed the system as it keeps the res high up.

PS whats with your location lol>
 
yeah please post some pics. Gonna do some googling and see what I can find as well

So you reckon for the GPU loop I should mount everything and then fill it up/bleed ? That makes me nervous working with open liquid near my components lol

yeah... tapatalk turned that on for some reason when I re-installed... lol Kinda like the FB whats your location thing... :)
 
Its better to assemble everything in its final position. Otherwise you might end up twisting some fittings loose while moving it into the case. As NP said, just keep the res higher than the pump and everything will be fine. In the beginning you let it run for a minute or so, switch off, and go again. Once the big bubbles are out you can just let it run
