Waved OLD flag for unity

Tibby,Bageloo and co.

Did you actualy read what he said his objective was ?
It was to show that he put the past behind.
It was all part of the history of this country yes I'm ashamed of what happened in the country even though i had nought to do with it its still part of it you cant change that. So accept it happened and move on.

This guy is a legend in my eyes.

sometimes you have to admire how many people have carrots shoved up their asses.

the old south african flag laid the foundation for the new south african flag and at the end of the day they both represent a racist government of sorts.

unity? there is no unity so you can take that day dream and shove it in the same place where the carrots reside.

There is unity in our country. But then there are those who are resisting the change. You'll most probably find them in anonymous online forums. They don't even have the guts to voice they concerns in the open. They silently know that change is inevitable. You either adapt or die.

Speaking from personal experience, perhaps? :D

I think he's an idiot!

Think what you will, because I doubt I'll be able to change that anyway. But you have to admit, that was a good hijack of what Bageloo meant with his statement. :D

The study found that between 1997 and 2002 mortality had increased steadily, up from 318287 deaths to 499 268. This represented an increase of 57 percent. Adult deaths (15 years and above) climbed by 62 percent from 272 221 in 1997 to 441 029 in 2002.

A disturbing trend, the report noted, was the increase in mortality in the 20-49 age group, which had increased from 121 548 in 1997 to 250 936 in 2002. Infant mortality displayed a marked increase, with 34 779 and 48 572 fatalities recorded for children below the age of four for the same period.

South Africa has no reliable statistics on HIV and Aids on which to base any plan to fight the pandemic decimating the population.

This was highlighted on Friday when the statistician-general, Pali Lehohla, admitted that statistics on HIV and Aids deaths in South Africa were not available.

Health Minister Dr Manto Tshabalala-Msimang refused to be drawn on any government figures relating to HIV and Aids, including the number of people receiving anti-retroviral treatment and those who have since fallen off the programme.
-
She challenged anyone to give examples of any other country where exact figures of HIV and Aids figures were available. "I never like to talk about figures. Our patient information system is not up to scratch. When I was preparing for this briefing there were different sets of figures, and I said let's remove the figures," she said.

No one dies of Aids in SA February 19 2005

According to the report, Estimates of Provincial Mortality, HIV and Aids in Gauteng accounted for 33 percent of all deaths in 2000 - one in three - compared with 30 percent of all deaths nationwide.
-
"The deaths in 2000 were at the beginning of a period of rapid HIV infection. More people have been infected since then and more people are going to be dying."

Age and Aids will be significant contributors to an increase in the rate of crime in South Africa over the next ten to twenty years. In a decade’s time, every fourth South African will be aged between fifteen and 24. It is at this age group where people’s propensity to commit crime is at its highest. At about the same time, there will be a boom in South Africa’s orphan population as the Aids epidemic takes its toll. Growing up without parents, and badly supervised by relatives and welfare organisations, this growing pool of orphans will be at greater than average risk to engage in criminal activity.
Age and Aids: South Africa’s crime time bomb?

Late last week, in a harsh speech, the IFP leader and former national minister of Home Affairs, blasted the government for its lack of will to fight crime.
-
He warned that South Africa’s much awaited hosting of the spectacular soccer world cup would be a flop if the government continued to fail to combat spiralling crime.
-
Buthelezi said he did not believe Mbeki
-
"The recent appalling crime statistics illustrate that the highly centralised system of policing much favoured by the ruling party is an abject failure.
-
The African Christian Democratic Party leader Kenneth Meshoe said Mbeki’s attempts to fight crime would not materialise if criminals continued to be treated leniently.
-
"The government has elevated the rights of the criminals above those of law abiding citizens. No matter how much noise the government makes about crime, they will not reduce it if criminals are not punished accordingly," Meshoe said.
'I am fed up with crime' January 15 2007

Over 18 000 people are murdered and about 54 000 are raped each year in South Africa.

The survey also revealed that the pessimism with regard to crime extended to supporters of the governing ANC party and not just what are often referred to as the "whinging whites".

SA not doing enough to combat crime - survey January 19 2007

"That doesn't happen and it won't happen. Nobody can prove that the majority of the country's 40 million to 50 million citizens think that crime is spinning out of control."
Mbeki out of touch with crime - experts January 17 2007

But only four out of every ten adult South Africans think the government does enough to reduce crime, according to a Markinor bi-annual government performance barometer conducted among 3 500 people in November.

Walk up to me in the street and I will say the same thing as I say here. This is as open as it gets for voicing concerns - this forum is available to anyone in the world. If you want more than that, try my email outbox, where you'll see that my concerns are sent to papers across South Africa.

You and your ilk promote disharmony. It's your only talent. Try imagining a better world and working toward that instead of blindly claiming that all is well.

I was talking about unity in our new democracy and those that are against it. You'll see them waving the old flag at rugby matches. Some of them have left the country but they always want to embarass the country whenever they get the chance. They are the same people that don't want players of colour in the springboks. The same people that post articles about what will happen to the whites when Mandela dies. They have invented sites like "southaficasucks", "crimebarometer" etc.

Those are detractors of all that is good that is comming out of the country.
How can you say that me and my ilk are promoting disharmony?
