Well for one thing Kieran Murphy complains that they are
stuffing up the 2.4ghz spectrum , violating Icasa's 100mw rule.
South AFrica is a land of extremes, you either have over regulation
or absolutely zero regulation, like we have at the moment.
Anybody can take a 1watt amplifier connect it to an 19dbi omni
antenna and there is nothing Icasa can do about it.
People who feel the need to use more than 80mw are merely incompetent engineers, learn the theory and then apply it correctly, don't just juice the thing up until you're cooking pigeons in mid-flight.

Well condsidering I've done a 7.5 km link with 80mw equipment, needing any more than that seems waistfull and tends to ruin other wireless connections in the area.
Well.. it seems Wavestream just answered by question.
They've been down for the past 20 hours...
They blame Tiscali, I blame Wavestream. I trust my explanation more than I trust theirs.
