Wayne Mann - Former Adapt-IT Group Commercial Manager
Wayne Mann holds BA and LLB degrees from the University of Kwa‐Zulu Natal.
Having practised law as a litigation partner at John Koch & Company, a boutique banking law practice, Wayne joined US apparel retailer Gap Inc. in their Compliance Department. Whilst with the Gap, Wayne managed the sub‐Saharan Africa and subsequently the South East Asia compliance teams.
After leaving Gap in 2006 Wayne joined an Old Mutual Group project which was tasked with building a direct financial services capability for the Group in South Africa. Initially Wayne was a part of the Procurement team, and was responsible for the legal aspects of the procurement process. Wayne was also assigned responsibility for building the operational risk capability for the business, including the establishment of the legal, compliance and forensic functions. Wayne managed the specialist resources tasked with building those capabilities as well as the project procurement team, and was ultimately responsible for contracting for multi‐million Rand technology systems as well as a diverse array of services.
Wayne joined the Adapt IT Group in a consulting capacity in early 2009, and was appointed as Group Commercial Manager. In October 2009, he served as Adapt IT's Company Secretary, until leaving the company in February 2010.
His other areas of expertise include corporate governance and compliance.
