is a precedent really being set? The precedent of ignoring the ECA is simply being followed.

Less cynically (but only a little):
The investors are putting their money up on the assumption that it can be done
when it cant they will loose their investment
ignore the law at your own peril

ICASAs track record of having things set aside is so bad that I cannot fathom how little due diligence large corporates are doing when it comes to these things

Meh, iBurst is so slow and has such limited coverage I'm surprised it hasn't been wiped to the sidelines yet. WBS to my understanding still does some things worth while

Well I can't really see ICASA having any legs on this
Vodacom and any other BAUT not seeking acquisition here however can and should
