WBS & iBurst websites broken

an RSS feed would be nice for announcements, I could have my browser use any new announcements the start page, that would be sweet

website not so broken anymore - you guys can check it out, somebody has been working overtime this weekend.

it seems once its reset you need to reconnect to get it to show then after that it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour to update, it looks like they're still fine tuning it

Printable pages would be nice

I tried to print out their various package offerings, but all I get is the top frame/titles. I could not even select the things to cut & paste / print selected. In the end I had to write things down with pen & paper.

I can't see any use for Flash / Coldfusion / non-specific images in any support pages. BTW, some of the data for the helpdesk.wbs.co.za comes from oss.wbs.co.za that people wondered about

cold fusion doesn't matter, thats a server side thing, but the flash is way too redundant.

Anyone else notice that SSL is not used when logging into your account using the helpdesk website ?

[post=179447]Aye, 'twas same on oss.wbs.co.za several days ago...[/post]

something that pisses me off about thier site, and it has to do with the flash, I log into the bandwith meter in firefox or ie, then i see my bandwith and either close the window or leave a tab open in firefox so I can refresh later. if i go back to the page by either opening a window and going back or refreshing the page and I am not in a new session (if the original session has not timed out or I have not logged out and logged back in) the flipping thing breaks and does not show the usage data or a link to log out.

So I end up having to close all the tabs in firefox, close it down and wait a bit or I have to recconect or I have to use another browser to force a new session. It is annoying as hell and pretty much goes against everything a dynamic page should be.

The reason for this isn't because of Firefox. It is the damn coldfusion scripting that has been done. this error has also occured on IE with me. IT seems there is a problem the sessions and cookies not being closed and/or opened correctly.

you realise condfusion is a server side language like asp or php right? so it runs on the server but by the time it gets to your browser its just html or text

Why does WBS like using Flash, does it make there site "Pretty" to me Flash is really GEI sometimes, since you've to wait for the site to load at the company I work for I tried to login to HELPDESK, I got errors like FLASH script is causing Computer to slow down or something, I only get it from WBS website. Even when I wanted to Apply same issue I had on there site. Why Don't they make Proper Website with NO FLASH, since some computers can't handle FLASH SCRIPT etc.

I think there site has to be RE Done.

what is flash script? theres action script within flash but if you don't have the correct flash version to handle the action script you won't see flash movie, so what sort of errors did you get??

I can play flash movies but i get this ERROR:
Only on WBS website even with work computer.

A script in the movie is causing Macromedia Flash PLayer 7 to run slow. if it continues to run your computer my not unresponsive.

Thats the msg it gives

Get it too, and then I select No so that it continues and sometimes I get the page, very small in Firefox and normal in IE
