I hate to post this but it's high time I start BM about the useless credit controller's at WBS!

Today I received a e-mail stating that I owe WBS the amount of R699 for a Monthly Rental of iburst...

So natually I enquired into this statement as seeing as
1. My account is handled by Fusion Reactor
2. I do not have any debit order with WBS!
3. They do not have a SIGNED debit order form to make a debit order
4. This happened in December which I was assured that it was cleared up
5. My debit order is done every month and shown on my Statements as FUSION REACTOR

After speaking to the Credit Controller at WBS she is adament that
1. WBS bills all their clients
2. My account was purchased through some other company called "funjoy" or something
3. My account is arrear as of the last month which means I have to pay 2 months of connectivity.
4. My banking details are incorrect
5. I must provide her with my Bank Account details so the debits will proceed every month.

My Response:
1. I've refused to provide my banking details as from what I've read here people are debited double or incorrectly if they deal directly with WBS.
2. I have iterated that my account is with fusion reactor and not some "funjoy" company but the response was that Fusion reactor bought the modem through this other company...
3. It's not the first time it's happened but in december the same credit controller gave me the same story - my account was in arrear since I signed up with iburst (12 whole months) - at that time, they said it was sorted.
4. I've e-mailed the accounts department of fusion reactor to sort this matter out.

What do you guys think? My understanding was in december they (word of mouth) said it was sorted but only took off the amount I owed...
now after two months they completely forgot the event and see my account is in arrear again.

Since you signed up with Fusion Reactor, you should deal only with them. Let them sort it out.

Some people have complained about WBS accounts. But we only hear about the compliants. I've never had any account problems, and I'm sure I'm not alone. They are at least informing you that there is a problem and not just cutting off your service.

There is always a risk that if you deal through a third party your payments may not reach the service provider, may be mis-directed, or may be delayed.

no correction I had to make the phone call to ask why I'm getting a billing from WBS. Another incident was on the 26th Feb I was capped I could not access any websites except for IBurst.co.za I phoned spoke to a guy there they said they didn't know how to solve the problem and will phone me back. 30 minutes later they phoned back and told me the problem was fixed. What did I find the next day? I got a billing statement that I purchased a 1gig account... does that constitute informing the client? (This was quickly resolved when I phoned that day)

Fusion Reactor has done their Job perfectly every month since my sign-up yet WBS continously send me odd billing statements for the my account.

I phoned WBS to find out what the problem was and the reasons why I have to be debited again.

To be honest, it sounds like your iBurst provider hasn't paid WBS.
They are the ones at fault, not WBS.
WBS only want their money.

I've dealt directly with WBS regarding billing, and I have never had one problem.
Never been double billed, or billed incorrectly.
