Hi guys

I've searched forums and asked on mirc and I still do not have a solution...My problem is simple:

I have 2x wrt54gls ( A and B) running tomato firmware and WDS works 100%....As soon as I add a 3rd wrt54gl ( C ), wrt54gl ( A ) stops working...

I have added both mac addresses into each of the 3 wr54gl's and even put all 3 into lazy wds but still no luck...

Is there a setting that I need when there are more than 2 devices?

I'm using WPA PSK TKIP, Mode B + G
Same channel, Same SSID

i might be wrong but when u use both as wds then you can only do 2 but when you use 1 as an access point and then use the other in bridge wds then you can use more than one.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say that you've put both MAC addresses in all three routers...

There are two typical ways of doing WDS (and often in combination)

Daisy Chain

and

Star

Which one are you doing? Could you perhaps attach a simple diagram of your setup?

Also, I typically switch off WPA while setting up. Plus set different SSIDs during setup and testing. You can set them all to be the same once you've tested the setup to be working.

Ok heres the setup

Router A ----------------------WDS------------RouterB---------WDS------Router C

RouterA:
Mac Address: XX:XX:XX:XX
WDS Mac Addresses:
YY:YY:YY:YY

RouterB:
Mac Address: YY:YY:YY:YY
WDS Mac Addresses:
XX:XX:XX:XX
ZZ:ZZ:ZZ:ZZ

RouterC:
Mac Address: ZZ:ZZ:ZZ:ZZ
WDS Mac Addresses:
YY:YY:YY:YY

EDIT: They are also in the same ip range

With WDS can they all have different SSIDs?? I thought that channel, SSID etc needs to be the same? I'll try turn off WPA and give it another shot

Any luck yet?

SSIDs don't need to be the same, but channel must be!

Which router is your internet gateway? Remember to set your gateway in the slave routers.

As far as I know Password, SSID and channel needs to be the same....
