It's decided - 1 September it's either fixed or I'm out. If it means I take the legal route so be it.

The kiwi's think we pay to much - I think they are right. Seems they also have a problem with a telscum monopoly.

BTW latencies of 20ms< you won't see here soon or ever for that matter.

Actualy the sub 20ms latencies were on 802.11 style gear aborg....

The Maui Wireless service doesn't seem to have as many hassles ... maybe people there just bitch less ;-)

looks like it, or it could be that IPW relies on the companies to implement their technology correctly, but as in any business, the companies that take on the technology tries and cuts costs by cutting corners, which ultimatly reflects badly on the technology AND their company.

I'd say the fundamental thing they're getting wrong is proper training, hence why IPW is out here in SA fixing things. The Maui Wireless could genuinely not have as many problems because they actually paid attention whilst in training of setting up their technology (or lack of population?)

Dean, no excuse, it's like sending out your big first shipment of condoms, then when people start getting pregnant, you say "oh sorry, it was our big first shipment of condoms, our bad"

no excuse...

We're definitely paying too much, but take into account that they're comparing a bundled price to their whoosh, where the modem has to be purchased separately.

MW128, Tower 60(Northpark Plaza), Signal:16%,S-N-L: 7, BER: 45%

what a nice comparison, condoms for the people getting screwed

Yep, you got it TadMadLad

BTW, woosh subsidised the modems, practically giving them away, yes, you had to "buy" it upfront, but at nearly half the price WE pay for the modem once off because Sentech isn't subsidising it...
