Had Eskom kept the projects on schedule and done maintenance as required they wouldn’t be looking for further funding to complete the work.
The type of crisis management style they are currently engaged in is also going to cost them due to ineffective planning.
 
Demand payment from municipalities for unpaid debt and disconnect the freeloaders from the network.

Then switch it off and get them to pay. People will lynch Pretoria then, and it'll get sorted in time. Only way to do it - stop the rot now, rather than us sitting in the dark for months or years on end not very long from now.
 
Dont worry the workers at Medupi and Kusile are still getting their lunch everyday so no need to panic. They could save 1.4 bill right there.

How do you claim 7 billion rand profit, and then a few days later you are claiming you are broke.

Maybe the best thing is for South Africa to have a complete blackout, at least that might wake up the politicians enough to actually do something about it instead of sweeping issues under the carpet.

As long as Zumaville/Nkandla is still standing (with his x amount of wives), he doesn't give a flying fc about SA...
 
my kids also ask for more money... but if they waste the allowance they receive already, they know they wont see an extra cent.
i cant see Eskom receiving much sympathy, as long as we know their management, who are supposed to steer the company responsibly are wasting money, and above all receive disproportionate remuneration, so clean house first
 
Cut the freeloaders.

If they go on the rampage, do grow a pair and send the police + army in with sharp point ammo.
 
I know it would not end well but in reality all Eskom are doing is putting band aids on a problem which requires plastic surgery to fix. It might help for a few hours but in the end the underlying problem has not gone away. The country is in a crisis and perhaps this may help the people in charge to realise this. It will also place the international spotlight on the country which may increase the pressure a bit
 
So.. what exactly is Brian Dames spending all our money on anyway?

yup... but first step to recovery is to admit there is a problem... sofar eskom and ANC gov refuse to acknowledge there is a problem, to guy at the top said it nicely "crisis? what crisis" in true ANC tradition.
