Had Eskom kept the projects on schedule and done maintenance as required they wouldn’t be looking for further funding to complete the work.
The type of crisis management style they are currently engaged in is also going to cost them due to ineffective planning.

A slight correction is needed there. It will NOT cost Eskom. It WILL cost us, the consumer

There's actually a relatively simple solution. Declare force majeure and turn off the power to the smelters.
