The New Road collection point is now open as part of a beta test before an official launch next month, and MyBroadband ordered a keyboard from Takealot to test the collection facilities.

sure most of them it will be bored looking Thabo bringing your packages at the speed of a slow snail.


Im also sure the fancy schancy ipads will be broken half the time,
and the rest wont work properly.

That is the one over the highway where the restaurant used to be? I saw some branding on it other day when I drove from Joburg back to Pretoria

The placement of a multitude of stores around the pickup point was another plus, and we grabbed a Kauai smoothie for the road.

I'm keen to collect for that exact reason (snack break from the traffic on my way home).

For cheaper items - Sub R 450 you pay R 25 instead of the full delivery fee. I think it also cuts down on waiting time as you need to rely on couriers to deliver it. But at R 450+ might as well just use free delivery

Unless they are looking at taking away delivery all together and only work on collection for certain areas.

Look very nice but I'm afraid that the test was a bit premature since few people are actually aware of it. Once it picks up in popularity the real test will begin. Hope it does not turn into a Post Office type experience.
