We will never pay for e-tolls, say protesters

True, the system will fail because the public will refuse to participate in it.

The broad spectrum of people who refuse to accept etrolling also suggests that there are many people who do not trust this cANCer government whose back pockets the etrolling money will be siphoned into instead of just servicing SANRAL's debt.

Money has to come from somewhere, taxes, levies... we will be paying for the etolls.

Government will foot the bill from you and me somehow, no matter where this is going. They just invent a new tax system (like the complete idiotic idea of a tax for graduates ... talk about discouraging education) and we will get nailed. It's all too easy. But the jĂ´l budget will remain untouched.

Could this be the beginning of the end of the cANCerous government? Could this be the eye-opener the sheeple need?

Nope. Never. Not for as long as people believe the forefathers are watching and are all pro-ANC and will cause all kinds of bad things to happen when a person votes for another party. Who wants to be hit by lightning when exiting the polling station or get tortured by the tokolosh until the next election?

NO
"The court granted Outa leave, in January, to take the matter to the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein."

The Gov has enacted new legislation that reduces the ability of the Supreme Court of Appeal -- referring cases to the Constitutional court instead.

Cannot atm find the link -- perhaps someone else is better at searching and can find it ?

What is ironic is that they say that government needs to pay for etoll. Ultimately whatever we choose, the bill will still come back to us. Whether it is through direct billing via a tolling system or indirectly through fuel or goods pricing...

We don't mind paying for the roads. But we don't want to pay for the tolling system. We never agreed to it, and we never wanted it.
If we have to pay for the roads through other means, that is fine.

+1, some other means that doesn't cause the price of road improvements to be inflated by a factor of 3 and effectively amounting to billions of Rands unnecessarily wasted on what is arguably a corrupted collections system.

Well be fair then...refund that portion of fuel levy that was supposed to go to roads maintaneance ...if sanral is given the job of handling SA roads, then scrap the JRA and let them brothers go and find another job....reduce fuel price again by whatever expenses are going to JRA...We may be better off after all! Why do we need two organizations looking after SA roads?
