So let me get this right you got capped on a uncapped account?
I was on a 30GB redafrica account.
The RedAfrica accounts have the lowest priority of all their accounts.
No kidding. What a load of BS.

Proof please? It should be on the same priority as their normal capped and uncapped accounts.
Well, yes, it's pretty much an established fact that WebAfrica have been trying to get rid of their RedAfrica customers for a while now. To think, I was thinking of taking someone's account over at one point.
Thank god OpenWeb had a special on Uncapped around the same time.
This is old but it does demonstrate they have different priorities

Ok so I just signed up for a Afrihost 4MB uncapped and all I can say is the difference is night and day.
For the record, I've been using their 30GB special account since the very beginning and I have absolutely no complaints. Works great and at a super price.
30GB special, normal shaped capped accounts and the home uncapped accounts are all on Home Silver. So the Red Africa does not have the lowest priority of all their accounts. It's on the lowest priority with the rest of their "normal" accounts i.e. Home Silver.
Splitting hairs. It's still the lowest. (with other lowest accounts)
Won't allow me to cancel my 4mb Uncapped service. Every time i try it says an error has occurred please try again later, and have been trying since yesterday. Quite convenient for them since its the last day of the month and if i can't cancel before 12 I'm stuck with this for another whole month.

Initial report was in 2008, by myself. At least they got billing fixed to a degree. Can't believe they still haven't fixed it.
You need to give a month's notice to cancel anyway. Open a support ticket explaining the problem with the cancellation process. Can't believe they still haven't fixed it.
I know i have to give a calendar month's notice, that's why I'm so eager to cancel today, because if i cancel tomorrow I'll have to pay for and use this for another whole month (August AND September rather than just August), which i really do not want to do.
Oh ok I understand. Tomorrow is the 31st btw![]()
Ok i have an update! I just managed to request a cancel of the service through the website succesfully (without the error). The difference is i was using Chrome rather than Firefox. I tried repeating the process and same thing happens, so if you want to cancel a webafrica service, use Chrome!
