I am becoming very irritated by Web Africa Billing. I changed from a DSL Complete to a DSL Connect a few weeks back, it took a couple of weeks and endless correspondence to explain to the billing department what had changed and what I should actually be billed for.

Now this month, I get a statement with an incorrect amount owing, after my phone call to billing yesterday they agreed that the statement was incorrect and that it would be corrected today.

It has not been corrected. I did not what to post yet another complaint about Web Africa billing, there are so many of them already. But I really do not what to explain my problem to another person in the Billing Department just to be ignored.

I am already purchasing my data from another ISP due to Web Africa’s pricing, and this kind of thing is going to chase me further away and go through the schlep of moving my line as well.

It does not matter how many free 10GB accounts you send my way, at some stage the frustration is just not worth it.

I know, last night I purchased a gig of prepaid from WA with my CC, and it's not instant. After an hour of waiting, I decided to call the call centre, and was told my payment is not in showing in their processing queue or something. They have to manual assign bandwidth to me, which took another 20 minutes after I hung up.....Good thing is I am only getting prepaid bandwidth, and with openweb I am also doing the month to month option....

I also had a billing issue this month, I was billed for a account that I had canceled but they have now reversed it. I have never had a problem purchasing prepaid with them, normally takes less than 1min to be allocated to my account.

Don't deal with the staff, you need to speak to Mariett as she is the only person who seems to get things going in billing and know that the more advance warning you can give the better.

Such a shame that their billing dept is letting the entire company down. Sure sometimes people slip up, but this is escalating to Cybersmart's service levels

Got SMS. I have a debit order for R130 for the IS local only account. Now I have sent through the debit order mandate but now I got a SMS saying that I owe them R260 and that I should settle the amount with 72 hours to prevent any futher action against me. My bank statement shows the R130 being deducted but yet they say i havn't payed anything and want me to fax my bank statement (which I don't really want to do cause its personal) and why its R260 when I have signed up on the 2nd of September? My client area shows that R130 in red but R0.00 due. Now wtf is going on?

lol to scared to go have a looky at my billing, but somehow i've been owning them 1c before aug and then in aug 2c... sigh suppose i have to sort it out myself once again.

I cancelled with Web Africa in August 2011. They submitted a d/o in Feb and reversed it 5 weeks later after 4 phone calls. No apology or refund of the bank fees. Now I have received another invoice advising of an impending debit on 1st May.

Called accs dept who not really interested and asked them not to debit. Too late they advised. When asked why debits started again, was told that I had signed up again. So told them I had not had DSL line since August. Not her problem, I must call Telkom. Obviously not listening to a word I am saying. Asked for manager, was promptly cut off.
