web africa local only

mines been connected fine since yesterday... sometimes manually trying to reconnect over and over again works.
 
Im also having problems with my IS accounts from webafrica (authentication problems). I phoned and now they say I have to wait till monday for the developers to come. Now how the hell is that 24/7 support??? They should changed it to say LIMITED 24/7 support. Its BS!

Ok people. I see myself as a pro with this error on the IS accounts. Happened 2 times this month to me already. If this is indeed the same type of problem you are getting….good luck in getting any help before Monday!

lol calm down there spikey. Even if the developers were available 24/7....it would be useless. They would just log a fault with IS. Why would that be useless? Well, the IS people also only work normal business hours. So no use letting the "developers" as they call them, work 24/7. Rather synch their times with IS/SAIX. :)

killaboob, I made a typo with my error code. Oops. Have the same error with my other account. What you might find interesting is that if you log into your WA webinterface thing, there wont be anything about these errors you’re getting on the logs. If you do see something, there is something else wrong.

IS must be having an "off" month.... :mad:

I'm not sure who told you that development on our authentication will only continue as of Monday as it's being worked on as we speak.

We've been experiencing issues lately with IS accounts in that IS's RADIUS servers mark accounts as capped even though on our side everything seems to be 100% (this results in zero authentication attempts coming through to us and instead you get 'hardcapped' and cannot reconnect).

IS is investigating but unfortunately they will only be available again come Monday to continue the investigation. The best I can say is contact our support department and get them to log your username so that it can be submitted to IS to further the investigation.

My IS accounts does not even show any usage for the past couple of days. The last time I have used it acoording to the usage stats was on 23/10. But thats not true. It does sometimes show that I'm connected at least.

Give those IS RADIUS servers a few kicks from me! :p

killadoob, that would be a yes. Buying another account will solve the problem...until the server "cap" you at will later on...

meaning webafrica are not checking the usage correct and IS i capping the accounts

No. You probably still have some data usage left. My 30GB account did this earlier the month, and froze at about 12GB Usage. My 10GB one froze at about 9GB usage. So it seems random. But the usage stats do seem to be a bit out. My other 10GB that still works fine, shows 1GB usage ending 23/10. I know for a fact I did about 2GB after that already. Stats still exactly the same.
 
it's very convenient for an ISP (or their providers) to have problems in the last few days of a month... that way people that have been saving their bandwidth to use up in those last few days don't get to use it, saving them all lots of money i am sure.
 
Mine started acting up last week as well. My usage says I still have 3.12GB left of a 10GB account, but I'm not being authenticated so I guess they think I'm capped. Support said they're working on things (whatever that means).
